Adrien comes from a modest background: his family, desert farmers who specialized in breeding cockatrices, managed to scrape by a decent living through trading their goods. However, their peaceful life in Rabanastre was disrupted when the Empire's invasion led many Dalmascans, including Adrien, into conscription.Adrien spent several years as a conscript, during which time he met Xinna. Despite the harsh circumstances, one of his commanding officers showed unexpected kindness, making his decision to leave and escape all the more difficult. Even after he escaped, Xinna remained a loyal friend who never betrayed him.Leaving behind the life of a soldier, Adrien eventually found himself on a ship bound for Eorzea. Life in Eorzea proved challenging, especially since he no longer had the means to earn Gil. Reluctantly, Adrien took on the life of an adventurer, taking various jobs across the realm despite his distaste for combat.Combat isn't his desired path; he longs for the day when he can finally relax. His true aspiration, like his parents', is to establish his own cockatrice farm and find peace. He dreams of the day when he can finally call a farm his own in Eorzea.
